A request

24 hours ago, Grampa Bruce was diagnosed with an abdominal aneurysm and rushed to a larger medical facility in London for emergency surgery. He has beaten incredible odds to make it this far, but if you could spare a prayer for him, I would really appreciate it.

ETA: Thanks for the support. I will spare you the lengthy details, but Grampa Bruce is pretty much a walking medical miracle at this point - his condition has improved far beyond what we had hoped. His condition is detailed here if you are interested. It was the "65–75% of patients die before they arrive at hospital and up to 90% die before they reach the operating room" that had us worried, along with "The operative mortality has slowly decreased over several decades but remains higher than 40%" quote. He seems to be doing well now and we hope the nightmare is behind us.
