We're back from our little getaway... which was a lot of fun, and totally relaxing.
My favourite parts were the fun. And the relaxing.
My least favourite part was when Liam developed a prolapsed rectum. (This was going to be a post in and of itself, but I decided I didn't want to make your eyeballs bleed by describing it in detail. You can Google it if you want to.) It cleared itself up and he's fine, but ay yi yi - you never want your child's insides hanging outside of his body!! If I had known parenthood was going to be like this...

great LO's! But that rectal prolapse thing has me concerned....................
I'm with Dawn here. How is he? Google says it often needs treatment such as surgery.
I don't want to pry, but I didn't even know this was possible before reading your post and a quick google glance.
Is he ok?
He's fine - he wasn't in any pain at all. He used the bathroom, I went to wipe his bum and whoops, there it was. Gave us (me + Chad - Liam was oblivious) quite a scare, but it turns out that it is pretty common in little kids. If it lasts longer than an hour, you're supposed to call your doctor, but by the time I went to take a second look Liam's had fixed itself - so it was no more than a minute or two.
(The longest two minutes of my life, though!!)
I'd have been absolutely horrified, and I'll bet you were!
i've never heard of this before, and while I hope I never see it (and hope you never see it again) at least I'll know not to have a heart attack.
