Here's where the story ends

2 p.m. came and went yesterday afternoon, and for the first time in a long, long time, we weren’t down at the OEYC. I think I was white-boarding Rate 325 with a manager, and Liam was fast asleep at Cindy’s house; he’s so keen on the goings-on there that he skips his morning nap completely, and then crashes and burns for the majority of the afternoon. Although it was time for us to leave our playgroup, I feel like there is still some unfinished business there; will we ever know if KFC Baby learns to like food that doesn’t come from a drive-through? Elizabeth’s mom was going to have Easter pictures taken at Sears to go along with the ones she just had done at Walmart, and she was going to bring them all in so the group could compare the two portrait studios once and for all; how will I know which canned pictures came out on top? Will the new additions to the group ever come to participate in Circle Time without rolling their eyes and talking about how dumb singing the Hokey Pokey is (as if they’re the first ones to have ever thought that)? I’m sure we’ll come to find out whether Ryan made a full recovery from his strep throat infection, just as we have kept in touch with Autum outside of the group, and were among the first to know when she started walking. Several of the women we met at playgroup work at the 7-11 – maybe I will have to make a late-night Slurpee run sometime, just so I can meet up with them again and get filled in on how the story ends.
